Many people think that Lucifer was an angel who rebelled and fell from heaven. But bible says none of that. A perfect God would not create a being who could rebel against him.
This is due to a misinterpretation of Isaiah 14:12 and Ezekiel 28:14. Let’s star with Isaiah:
“How are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations!”
Isaías 14:12
1) Were there nations when Lucifer fell from heaven?
2) Why would God send a prophecy to the devil through the bible?
In the Hebrew text there is no such word, The word is the bright morning star (Hilell ben shara):
And that word is not a proper name, it is a title. In the ancient world the planet Venus was
called the bright morning star.
That's why many kings used this title, including Jesus:
“I Jesus have sent my angel to testify to you these things in the churches.
I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star”
Revelation 22:16
And as we see in the whole chapter, the prophecy was intended for a king, the king of Babylon:
“That you shall take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How has the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!”
Isaíah 14:4
And he was a man:
“They that see you shall narrowly look on you, and consider you, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;”
Isaíah 14:16
When Jerome translated the bible from Greek to Latin, he used the term lucifer, because in Latin it means the light bearer. This term comes from a Roman god who was the father of eosphorus.
this same word appears in these passages:
“And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. And I will give him the morning star (LUCIFER)”
Revelation 2:27,28
⦁ “I Jesus have sent my angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star (LUCIFER)”
Revelation 22:16
⦁ "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise (LUCIFER) in your hearts:
2 Petter 1:19
The same world
And about Ezekiel 28 let’s see
Ezequiel 28
As we see before, Isaiah 14 is about a king of babylon, a man. Not is about a espiritual being. And Eziquel 28 is the same thing:
“Son of man, take up a lamentation on the king of Tyrus, and say to him, Thus said the Lord GOD; You seal up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty”
Ezequiel 28:12
But some people think that this prophecy is about a devil because in the verse 13 say:
“You have been in Eden1 the garden of God2; every precious stone was your covering3, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of your tabrets and of your pipes was prepared in you in the day that you were created”
Ezequiel 28:13
Let's see.
1- You have been in the Eden. Eden was not the heaven, was a city called Eden as anyone can see in the previous chapter:
"Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur, and Chilmad, were your merchants"
Ezequiel 27:23
2- The garden of God acctualy was the garden of gods, not the heaven. The hebrew term Elohim is the plural, and was usual at the ancient tows. there was in many ancient tows a garden of your gods.
3- The precious stones was the stones that the king used to wedding.
4- Ezequiel witting using the poetic language:
"The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like to him in his beauty. I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him"
Ezequiel 31:8,9
"And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped on them"
Daniel 8:9,10
“How are you fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how are you cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations!”
Isaíah 14:12
So, it's not a espiritual being. In the both ar just men, kings.
Jesus will not come back By Ronaldo Gomes Analysing the Scriptures
Rules of interpretation
There are in the scriptures two rules of interpretation that I always follow:
“Being conscious in the first place that no man by himself may give a special sense to the words of the prophets”
2 Petter 1:20
“My brothers, it is because of you that I have taken Apollos and myself as examples of these things, so that in us you might see that it is not wise to go farther than what is in the holy Writings, so that no one of you may be lifted up against his brother.
1 Corínthians 4:6
Jesus set a time for your return
Throughout the gospel, Jesus said His coming would be soon:
“Jesus says to him, You say so: but I say to you, From now you will see the Son of man (soon) seated at the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven”
Mathews 26:64
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave him so that his servants might have knowledge of the things which will quickly take place: and he sent and made it clear by his angel to his servant John;”
Apocalipse 1:1
Soon, not two thousand years after.
People from the time of Jesus would see his coming:
“But when they are cruel to you in one town, go in flight to another: for truly, I say to you (APOSTLES), You will not have gone through the towns of Israel before the Son of man comes”
Mathews 10:23
“Truly I say to you (APOSTLES), There are some of those here who will not have a taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.”
Mathews 16:28
“And then the sign of the Son of man will be seen in heaven..... Truly I say to you, This generation will not come to an end till all these things are complete”
Mathews 24:30-34
Jesus says to him, You say so: but I say to you (CAIAPHAS), From now you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.
Mateus 26:64
Can I say this would be a future event? Do you remember the rules?
Jesus came soon in that generation. The coming of Jesus was in judgment upon that generation and not a future event. All references around you are references to destruction.
Come in the clouds
“And Jesus said, I am: and you will see the Son of man seated at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven”
Mark 14:62
"See, he comes with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those by whom he was wounded; and all the tribes of the earth will be sorrowing because of him. Yes, so be it”
Apocalipse 1:7
“Because the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a word of authority, with the voice of the chief angel, with the sound of a horn: and the dead in Christ will come to life first;”
1 Tessalonians 4:16
Many people take this as literal, as if Jesus really came in the clouds. but Jesus also said that He was coming as a thief. Can I take this as literal too? I don’t think so:
“See, I come as a thief. Happy is he who is watching and keeps his robes, so that he may not go unclothed, and his shame be seen”
Apocalipse 16:15
“For you yourselves have the knowledge that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night”
1 Tessalonicenses 5:2
Both coming in the clouds and coming as a thief are figures of languages. Coming like a thief means coming suddenly. And coming with the clouds means coming with destruction because clouds bring storms that destroy everything:
“The word about Egypt. See, the Lord is seated on a quick-moving cloud, and is coming to Egypt: and the false gods of Egypt will be troubled at his coming, and the heart of Egypt will be turned to water”
Isaiah 19:1
“And you will go up, you will come like a storm, you will be like a cloud covering the land, you and all your forces, and a great number of peoples with you”
Ezequiel 38:9
Even Jesus used the symbolism about his coming:
“And as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man. Because as in those days before the overflowing of the waters, they were feasting and taking wives and getting married, till the day when Noah went into the ark, And they had no care till the waters came and took them all away; so will be the coming of the Son of man”
Mathews 24:37-39
Then two men will be in the field; one is taken, and one let go;Two women will be crushing grain; one is taken, and one let go.
Mathews 24:40,41
The people who were taken at Noah's time were taken to their deaths and not to heaven. That was what Jesus was talking about. Then his coming would be the destruction of Jerusalem that happened in the seventies.
Precise date
Jesus said in Mathews 24 when he would come:
“Truly I say to you, This generation will not come to an end till all these things are complete”
Mathews 24:34
Jesus said this around the year 30. A generation according to the bible is forty years old:
“Then the Lord was angry with Israel, and he made them wanderers in the waste land for forty years? till all that generation who had done in the eyes of the Lord was dead”
Numbers 32:13
“For forty years I was angry with this generation, and said, They are a people whose hearts are turned away from me, for they have no knowledge of my ways;”
Psalms 95:10
So, 30 + 40 = 70
The year of the fall of Jerusalem
New havens and new earth
What is an alliance? An alliance is a pact between two people. In the bible covenant is a covenant between two beings, one in heaven and one on earth. The being of heaven is God and the being of earth is man. Haven and earth.
When God made a covenant with Israel he said:
“Give ear, O heavens, to my voice; let the earth take note of the words of my mouth:
Deuteronomy 32:1
land (הָאָ֖רֶץ) refers to the land of israel:
“for from the prophets of Jerusalem unclean behaviour has gone out into all the land”
Jeremiah 23:15
All the land it’s not a whole world it’s the land of Israel only.
So the covenant was betwee God in the haven and the earth of Israel:
“The vision of Isaiah, the son of Amoz, which he saw about Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. Give ear, O heavens, and you, O earth, to the word which the Lord has said: I have taken care of my children till they became men, but their hearts have been turned away from me.
Isaiah 1:1,2
“The agreement which I made with you when you came out of Egypt, and my spirit, are with you still; have no fear. For this is what the Lord of armies has said: In a short time I will make a shaking of the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land;”
Ageu 2:5,6
Then we see in all scripture that the heavens and the earth refer to the covenant;
And according to the new testament Jesus made a new covenant:
Take of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is given for men for the forgiveness of sins.
Mathews 26:28
New Jerusalem
So we have a new covenant between a being from heaven, Jesus and earthly beings, Christians. That's why John saw a new heaven and a new earth in the apocalypse and a new Jerusalem.
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were gone; and there was no more sea. And I saw the holy town, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, like a bride made beautiful for her husband”
Apocalipse 21:1,2
Paul talked about two allegorical jerusalem. each Jerusalem symbolizes a covenant. One was a slave to her children. And the other free that came down from heaven and was already present in Paul's time. Same as John saw in heaven along with new heavens and new earth:
“Which things have a secret sense; because these women are the two agreements; one from the mountain of Sinai, giving birth to servants, which is Hagar. Now this Hagar is the mountain Sinai in Arabia, and is the image of the Jerusalem which now is: which is a servant with her children. But the Jerusalem on high is free, which is our mother.”
The kingdom of Jesus
Because John saw a new Jerusalem in the apocalypse, many Christians think it refers to a physical city or future kingdom of Jesus. But thath’s not true. Acctually jesus said:
“And when the Pharisees put questions to him about when the kingdom of God would come, he gave them an answer and said, The kingdom of God will not come through observation: And men will not say, See, it is here! or, There! for the kingdom of God is among you”
Lucke 17:20,21
This already shows that the new Jerusalem is not a physical city. It is a spiritual city. And as we saw earlier Paul said that this new jerusalem already existed in his day.
“Which things have a secret sense; because these women are the two agreements; one from the mountain of Sinai, giving birth to servants, which is Hagar. Now this Hagar is the mountain Sinai in Arabia, and is the image of the Jerusalem which now is: which is a servant with her children. But the Jerusalem on high is free, which is our mother”
Gálatas 4:24-26
The new Jerusalem was the church, the kingdom that Jesus said did not come with an outward appearance. The church he founded.
“And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock will my church be based, and the doors of hell will not overcome it. I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatever is fixed by you on earth will be fixed in heaven: and whatever you make free on earth will be made free in heaven”
Mathews 16:18,19
And the apocalypse speaks not only about a city in heaven, but also about the birth of Jesus:
And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who was to have rule over all the nations with a rod of iron: and her child was taken up to God and to his high seat.
Apocalipse 12:5
So if we know this is just a symbology, then so is the city.
Therefore Christians should not wait for a kingdom that Jesus has already made. Must be part of him, the church
SATAN DOES NOT EXIST By: Ronaldo Gomes, analisyng the scriptures
Many people believe that Satan is a being who rules hell and is an arch enemy of God. But, is that true?
Let’s see
The word satan in Hebrew (שָׂטָ֔ן) means enemy, adversary, opponent. Even in modern Hebrew has the same meaning . Anyone who opposes anyone in scripture is a satan. let's see some passages:
“And the angel of the Lord said to him, Why have you given your ass blows these three times? See, I have come out against you to keep you back, because your purpose is not pleasing to me”
Numbers 22:32
The angel of the Lord was sent as an adversary to Balaam, a satan
But he, turning to Peter, said, Get out of my way, Satan: you are a danger to me because your mind is not on the things of God, but on the things of men.
Mathews 16:23
Who is Jesus talking to? Peter
Why is Jesus calling Peter Satan?
Jesus said He would suffer at the hands of sinners:
“From that time Jesus went on to make clear to his disciples how he would have to go up to Jerusalem, and undergo much at the hands of those in authority and the chief priests and scribes, and be put to death, and the third day come again from the dead”
Mathews 16:21
Peter out of compassion opposes and says he will not allow this to happen:
“And Peter, protesting, said to him, Be it far from you, Lord; it is impossible that this will come about”
Mathews 16:22
But Jesus understood that this was God's plan and Peter was opposing what should happen, so he became an opponent, a satan. That’s why jesus called him satan.
The sense of Israel. Who made it?
According to Samuel
"Again the wrath of the Lord was burning against Israel, and moving David against them, he said, Go, take the number of Israel and Judah"
2 Samuel 24:1
According to chronicles
"Now Satan, designing evil against Israel, put into David's mind the impulse to take the number of Israel"
Why did God become satan? It did not become. David opposes God by making sense. And his idea was opposed. And this the author of the chronicles called Satan, and the author of Samuel called the wrath of God. The same thing.
God sent a Satan:
וַיָּ֨קֶם אֱלֹהִ֥ים לוֹ֙ שָׂטָ֔ן אֶת־ רְז֖וֹן בֶּן־ אֶלְיָדָ֑ע אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּרַ֗ח מֵאֵ֛ת הֲדַדְעֶ֥זֶר מֶֽלֶךְ־ צוֹבָ֖ה אֲדֹנָֽיו׃
"And God sent another trouble-maker, Rezon, the son of Eliada, who had gone in flight from his lord, Hadadezer, king of Zobah"
1 Kings 11:23
Jesus chose a devil
"Then Jesus said, Did I not make a selection of you, the twelve, and one of you is a son of the Evil One?"
"And God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the townsmen of Shechem; and the townsmen of Shechem were false to Abimelech;"
Judges 9:23
"Now the spirit of the Lord had gone from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord was troubling him. And Saul's servants said to him, See now, an evil spirit from God is troubling you"
1 Samuel 16:14,15
“I am the giver of light and the maker of the dark; causing blessing, and sending troubles; I am the Lord, who does all these things”
Isaías 45:7
“There is nothing outside the man which, going into him, is able to make him unclean: but the things which come out of the man are those which make the man unclean”
Marck 7:15
“Because from inside, from the heart of men, come evil thoughts and unclean pleasures, The taking of goods and of life, broken faith between husband and wife, the desire of wealth, wrongdoing, deceit, sins of the flesh, an evil eye, angry words, pride, foolish acts: All these evil things come from inside, and make the man unclean"
Marck 7:21-23
Who hindered God's plans? The satan? No, God:
“And I will make Pharaoh's heart hard, and my signs and wonders will be increased in the land of Egypt”
Êxodo 7:3
“And I will make the heart of the Egyptians hard, and they will go in after them: and I will be honoured over Pharaoh and over his army, his war-carriages, and his horsemen”
Êxodus 14:17
“For this reason God gave them up to evil passions, and their women were changing the natural use into one which is unnatural:”
Romans 1:26
“And for this cause, God will give them up to the power of deceit and they will put their faith in what is false:”
2 Tessalonians 2:11
But the devil is the father of lies
“Then a spirit came forward and took his place before the Lord and said, I will get him to do it by a trick.
And the Lord said, How? And he said, I will go out and be a spirit of deceit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Your trick will have its effect on him: go out and do so”
1 Kings 22:21,22
“And now, see, the Lord has put a spirit of deceit in the mouth of these prophets of yours; and the Lord has said evil against you”
2 Crônicles 18:22
“But if, because I am untrue, God being seen to be true gets more glory, why am I to be judged as a sinner?”
Romans 3:7
By the way, Paul send peoples to satan:
“That this man is to be handed over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may have forgiveness in the day of the Lord Jesus”
1 Corínthians 5:5
“Such are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have given up to Satan, so that they may say no more evil words against God.”
1 Timothy 1:20
